United Sherpa Football Club (USFC)
United Sherpa Football Club (USFC) was established in New York in 2012 by Chhiring Namgyal Sherpa and Ang Sangbu Sherpa with the mission of uniting Himalayan communities and building unity, strength, friendship, and community spirit through football (soccer). USFC is affiliated with United Sherpa Association (USA) Inc. — Sherpa Kyidug America and is supported by dedicated coaches, volunteers, parents, players, and community members.
USFC focuses especially on youth development by providing opportunities for young players to improve their soccer skills while learning teamwork, discipline, leadership, sportsmanship, responsibility, and healthy living. The club welcomes participants from Sherpa, Nepali, Himalayan, and other communities and promotes inclusion and friendship through sport.
USFC activities include:
- Weekly youth soccer training and practice
- Youth development and player training
- Participation in local and regional soccer leagues
- Indoor and outdoor competitions
- Community soccer tournaments and friendly matches
- United Sherpa Association annual sports programs
- Leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship development
- Volunteer, coach, parent, and community participation
USFC has participated in numerous leagues and tournaments over the years. Historically, its youth teams have competed in competitions including the Metrokids IRSL league and Queens Soccer Foundation indoor league. More recently, United Sherpa Football Club U13 participated in the 2026 Kontonis Esperanza Cup and finished as runner-up in its category, showing the club’s continued involvement in competitive youth soccer.

To provide a positive and inclusive soccer environment where young people can develop athletic skills, confidence, discipline, leadership, cultural connection, and lasting friendships.

For current registration, team age groups, practice location, schedules, tournaments, coaches, and contact information, the USFC Facebook page is the best public reference; the association’s public profile specifically directs people there for current practice and contact information.
One important point: some information currently displayed on the existing USFC webpage—such as the old U7/U9/U11/U13/U15 structure and Friday/Sunday practice references—comes from earlier years, so I would not present those as the current 2026 schedule unless USFC confirms them.
